Noticeboard

The practice is currently improving its telephone system and Wifi connection.  Disruption should be minimal however, we will notify patients of any known significant disruption during the changeover - expected March 2019.  Our Practice and its branch site will remain open during these works.  If it is urgent that you obtain medical advice and cannot speak to a staff member at the Practice during this period, please contact 111 for advice.

Extended Access appointments available from 1st October.

As part of the South Shropshire Medical Group, we are now able to offer patient appointments with neighbouring practices: Albrighton, Bridgnorth and Church Stretton.  The appointments available to Shifnal & Priorslee patients will be at an evening and a weekend.  Appointments are bookable via our Practice Reception Team.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice runs nurse clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics, and carry out cervical smears.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants (Nursing Assistants) support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. They carry out dressings, ECG's, and assist the Doctors with the following clinics Antenatal Care, Minor Surgery and Womens Health.
